Editing and improving your photos in iPhoto (iPhoto preserves the originals)
See videos of these online. They are linked below. Your Help in iPhoto also has good instructions.
Edits you can make with iPhoto:
1. Rotating photos and how to change the default in iPhoto Preferences.
2. Fixing red eye (Automatic versus Manual)
3. Cropping: To crop or not to crop
a. Cropping tool preserves the aspect ratio but you can crop any way you like.
b. Moving the entire frame or adjusting the portion you want to retain.
c. Choosing an aspect ratio
d. What does "Constrain" mean?
4. Using "Enhance."
5. Straightening tipped horizons and crooked buildings
6. Changing the exposure
7. Retouching to remove blemishes.
8
. Using Effects (you can use them more than once to increase the effect)
9. Multiple "Undo's"
10.Working with a copy of the photo in order to keep the original in the library instead of having it moved to an unseen originals folder.
11. Revert to Original (and how it differs from “Undo”)
